Portrait plaque
Cast iron portrait plaque depicting Admiral of the Fleet Sir John Rushworth Jellicoe (1859-1935). Oval plaque showing Jellicoe in relief facing left, in uniform, painted and gilded, 'SIR J.R. JELLICOE' inscribed below. The border is reeded with crossed bindings with four plaques showing repectively, the royal arms at the top, a foul anchor with in laurel wreath at the bottom and two lion's head masks on either side. There are two small backets at the back for hanging. 'MADE IN ENGLAND' is impressed on the reverse.
