Portrait plaque depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). Plaster relief with the sitter shown in profile wearing a uniform and facing left. The figure has a yellowed finish and is mounted on a blue velvet background. It is mounted in an unglazed wooden frame. Signed: 'Tassie F. 1805' on the base. 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON DIED IN THE GLORIOUS BATTLE OFF TRAFALGAR OCT 21 1805' (on truncation).
