Portrait plaque
Portrait plaque depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). A circular copper plaque with an embossed portrait of Nelson, in profile facing left. In unifom, but with no hat, the shoulders draped. It is mounted in a square black frame, the suspension ring has a rose and thistle attachment. It is inscribed: 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON BORN 29 SEPR 1758'. Also inscribed with the makers' initials 'M & P'.
