Portrait plaque

Portrait plaque depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). It is part of a watch stand. The item is pyramid-shaped, cast in relief with a profile porait of Nelson in uniform facing left within a laurel wreath, 'TRAFALGAR / Oct 21.1805' is inscribed below. The portrait is surounded by a laurel wreath and flanked by two sphynxes in the lower corners of the pyramid. Inscribed across the base is: 'NILE COPENHAGEN'.
