Part of the gun shield and spray cover of one of Aurora's 4 inch guns can be seen on the left of the image, with part of the guest (boat) boom projecting out. A block and tackle and a rope ladder hangs from the boom.
The monitor was likely to be on its way to the Mediterranean to the Dardanelles.
