Portrait plaque
Portrait plaque depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). A gilt metal plaque on a velvet-covered mount. It has a profile, relief portrait inscribed: 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON'. He is shown in uniform, facing left, the base of the shoulders is draped. There are crossed olive branches below. The plaque has a circular gilt mount and is glazed. The whole is in a black rectangular frame, the suspension ring has an oak leaf and acorn attachment.
