Portrait plaque depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). A cast of the Thomas Webb Trafalgar medallion in red wax. It has a relief profile of Nelson, bare-shouldered, facing left. Legend: 'HOR . VICECOM . NELSON OB PATRIAM PVGNANDO MORT . OCT XXI . MDCCCV.' (Died fighting for his country.) is placed under glass, in a circular metal mount. This is set in a rectangular wooden frame painted black.
