Handle plate
Circular furniture handle plate commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). Stamped with a left profile portrait of Nelson in the centre inscribed 'ADMIRAL NELSON', and around the outer edge 'ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN TO DO HIS DUTY OCT XXI MDCCV'. The related handle and bolt fittings are missing.
