Plaque
Coloured enamel (polychrome) plaque commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and the battle of the Nile, 1798. It depicts his flagship 'Vanguard' flying the blue ensign. It has a circular gilt mount and a suspension hook. Inscribed: 'ADMIRAL NELSON / VANGUARD 74 GUNS / Augst 1st 1798'.
