Silver suger bowl and cover
Said to be a porringer used by Nelson as a child to eat porridge or gruel, but has the appearance of a sugar bowl and cover of the period.
Small plain round silver bowl standing on a small foot, with a close-fitting slightly domed lid and a flat knop. The Nelson association is made more likely by its provenance through Miss Joyce Horatia Eyre-Matcham, who was descended from Nelson's sister Catherine.
