Electroplated candlestick: 'Alberta'
One of a pair of electroplated candlesticks that belonged to Captain Broad RN commander of the HMY 'Alberta'. It has weighted bases, which are covered in baize. It is decorated with scrolls, foliage and vines. There are two knops on the stems of irregular shape and decorated with vines. The candle socket has an outer collar pierced with holes. The baize base is worn and the inner iron layer is rusted.
