Silver-plated tankard commemorating HMS Tiger
Silver-plated tankard commemorating HMS ‘Tiger’.
Plain silver-plated tankard with a plain loop handle, the only identification being an inscription in the centre of the base stamped in a small circle: 'METAL FROM H.M.S.TIGER'.
It was probably made from the steel of the World War I battlecruiser 'Tiger' built 1913 and produced when the ship was broken up in 1932.
