Electroplated hot milk jug
A electroplated hot milk jug used on board Blue Funnel line ships. It consists of a goblet-shaped jug on a plain circular foot with a slightly curved lip and shaped handle. The lid, which is hinged below a collar, has a conical knop. The house flag of Alfred Holt Company Ltd (Blue Funnel Line) is engraved on one side (AH conjoined on a white diamond set in a 'blue' shaded field.). The outside of the jug is slightly discoloured.
