A electroplated napkin ring used on the British India Steamship Navigation Company ship SS 'Tara'. The badge of the B.I.S.N.CO can be seen on the ring, consisting of Britannia with a shield in the left hand and a swallow tailed Union flag in the right hand. A ship can be seen behind Britannia. Inscribed on the ring are the words 'B.I.A.S. LD 'TARA". B.I.A.S. stands for 'British Indian Associated Steamer'. The ring is tarnished and battered.
