Tea strainer and dish: Port Line
A silver plated tea strainer and dish used by the Port Line shipping company. The strainer has two handles and the stand takes the form of a small bowl. The Port Line badges are engraved on the bowl and one of the handles of the strainer. The plate is worn on the inside of the stand. The maker's marks can be seen on the dish: "30284 E & CO, ELKINGTON PLATE, ENGLAND, S". The dish is PLT0589.1 and the strainer is PLT0589.2.
