Serving dish: Union Castle Line
A large silver plate oval serving dish that was used as part of the first class table set on Union Castle Line ships. A zigzag pattern is engraved around the outer rim of the dish and the Union Castle Line crest can be seen on the side. Inscribed on the base are the words "MAPPIN & WEBB, SILVER PLATE, ENGLAND, C1/72 WARRANTED HARD SOLDERED".
