Cream jug: Union Castle Line

A silver plate cream jug that was used as part of the first class setting on Union Castle Line ships. The jug has a zigzag pattern engraved around the rim of the jug, with the Union Castle Line crest engraved on the side of the jug. Inscribed on the base are the words "MAPPIN & WEBB, LONDON & SHEFFIELD, MAPPIN PLATE, G, CI/77".
