Model broom
A miniature birch broom with a silver handle, the head is made of twigs bound with silver wire. The handle is inscribed 'Presented to ADMIRAL SIR JOHN RUSHWORTH JELLICOE KCB KCVO by the inhabitants of BUTTERWORTH TRANSKEI CAPE PROVINCE as a Mark of Gratitude and Appreciation for the CLEAN SWEEP 1914'. It relates to minesweeping.
