German entrenching tool. An iron square-ended spade on a wooden shaft. The blade is riveted on and its edges protected by a leather case fastened by straps and a buckle. On an attached label 'German entrenching tool used in the Great War. Presented to Admiral of the Fleet Earl Jellicoe. Lent by the Countess Jellicoe.'
