Red morocco leather case

A red morocco leather case fastened with a bright-cut silver snap with a blue enamel plaque. It is lined with green silk and has three inside pockets with a flannel needle pad edged with silver braid, a mirror is fixed to the inside of the case, a notepad, two glass vials with silver lids, a penknife with mother of pearl mounts, a comb, a bodkin, a cutting referring to the death of Capt. Mortlock, an epitaph copied from 'The Oracle' September 5th, cutting referring to an incident between French and English vessels, and a lock of baby hair in a paper wrap inscribed 'Ralph Tomlinson'. Written in the notebook: 'M. Ward a present from Mr T. Tooke, September 15th. 1796.', 'I. Ward, No. 12, Westgate Buildings, Bath.'
