Order of the Bath
Embroidered star of the Order of the Bath. Hand written on back: 'Worn by ADL Viscount Nelson KB on his uniform'. Nelson wore a replica star of the Order of the Bath, embroidered in metal wire and sequins, constantly on his uniform coats. The star has three gold sequin crowns in the centre surrounded by the Bath motto 'Tria Iuncta in Uno' on a red ground.
Nelson was made a Knight of the Order of the Bath in 1797 for his part in the victory off Cape St Vincent.
