Knight of the Chapteral Order of St Joachim
Embroidered star of a Knight Grand Cross of the Chapteral Order of St Joachim of Leiningen. This order was conferred on Nelson in 1801, and he wore a replica star of the order constantly on his uniform coats. The design is an eight-pointed cross in silver sequins, in the centre a cross pattee and laurel wreath embroidered in green on a white silk background, and the motto 'Junxit amicus amor 1755' embroidered in gold wire on green velvet.
