Vice-Admiral Nelson's glove stretcher
Glove stretcher in hardwood with an ivory handle and steel fittings belonging to Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). To stretch the fingers of kid gloves. The wooden prongs were inserted in the fingers and moved apart by the ivory key in the handle. Part of a collection of memorabilia relating to Nelson and Alexander Hood, 1st Viscount Bridport, provenance by descent through the Hood family.
