Framed funeral ticket
Ticket allowing admittance into the funeral procession of Lord Nelson from the Admiralty to St Paul's Cathedral. In a glazed frame. Printed with at the top with draped curtains and a winged, female figure holding two trumpets, one with a banner bearing the arms of Westminster Abbey. Below a sarcophagus with crossed palm branches with 'TRAFALGAR' on a ribbon and the motto: 'PALMAM QUI MERUIT FERAT'. Below a sarcophagus with crossed palm branches with 'TRAFALGAR' and a ribbon and the motto below: 'PALMAM QUI MERUIT FERAT'. Inscribed: 'FUNERAL of the late VICE ADMIRAL HORATIO VISCOUNT NELSON Admit .... into the Procession from the Admiralty to St. Paul's Cathedral No.' The ticket was never issued and has not been numbered and signed.
