H.M.S. 'Captain' memorial card
A memorial card to the crew of HMS 'Captain'. Black with gold lettering, a sepia photograph of the ship at the top and a border of naval trophies. Inscription: 'HM Turret ship Captain, Six 25 ton guns, 4272 tons Burthen, 900 horse power. In memory of the 506 Gallant British Sailors who perished in HMS Captain which foundered off Cape Finisterre, on the morning of September 7th 1870 [verse]'.
