Model commemoration anchor
Model anchor commemorating the loss of the ship of the line 'Royal George', which sank at Spithead in 1782. A small iron anchor with no stock in a square green cardboard box. On the lid of the box: 'Watch maker, hair worker T. Bonner Jeweller, North Street, Brighton.' In pencil on the base of the box: 'Anchor made from iron recovered from the Royal George.' On a paper inside: 'This anchor is made from iron got up from the wreck of Royal George. 60 years under water.'
