Paper weight made of the wood from the ship of the line 'Royal George', which sank at Spithead in 1782. Block of oak mounted on lead, with leather base. Painted on top of the paper weight are the words: 'PIECE OF THE RL GEORGE SUNK AUG...1782 . RECOVD BY CDR PASLEY R.N.' Inside OBJ0171.
