H.M.S. 'Victory' timber fragment
Timber from the cabin of H.M.S. 'Victory'. Irregularly shaped piece of timber with a semicircular groove across one side. On label: 'M.R.80 Piece of one of the Timbers of the Cabin of H.M.S. "VICTORY" which was struck by a round shot in the Action off Trafalgar, 21st October 1805, having passed through it as appears by its denticulated state. It was taken from the Ships side in Chatham Dock Yard.'
