H.M.S. 'Vindicitive' capstan top
Capstan top from HMS 'Vindictive'. A large circular brass plate with a rolled edge and holes round the edge to secure it. In the centre is a round brass badge with a rope border decorated with the 'Vindictive's' badge, a heraldic hand holding a scimitar. The badge is fastened to the capstan top with four screws. The brass of the capstan top is inscribed in large lettering 'Capstan top of HMS Vindictive Zeebrugge April 23rd 1918.'
