Wooden moulding from H.M.S. 'Vindicitive'

Strip of wooden moulding cut in toothed design and mounted on a piece of wood. On a plaque: 'ZEEBRUGGE MOLE APRIL 22 1918 OSTEND HARBOUR MAY 9, 1918 This piece of wood was taken from the Captain's Cabin of H.M.S. VINDICTIVE by COMMANDER A.C.FAWSSETT. D.S.O., R.N. in October 1918, after the evacuation of Ostend by the Germans, when that ship still laying partially blocking the entrance to the harbour.'
