Rear-Admiral Bedford Clapperton Tryvillion Pim
A glazed photograph of Rear-Admiral Bedford Clapperton Tryvillion Pim (1826-86) in an oak frame made from the timber of HMS 'Resolute'. Carved with the name: 'HMS RESOLUTE'. A hand-written label on the back is inscribed: 'This photograph of Rear Admiral Bedford Pim, with the oak frame was given to me by Commander G. Cawley RNR President of the United Kingdom Pilots Association. The frame is made from wood formerly part of H.M.S. Resolute of which Admiral Pim was a Lieut. when the ship was employed in the search for Sir John Franklin. Sanford D. Cole. 25 November 1907.'
