Plate money square
Plate money. Roughly square copper plate. Stamped 'FRS 1749', '2 DALER SILF MYNT'. Cancelled Swedish copper being exported as bullion. From the wreck of an unidentified merchantman circa 1780-1815, found in the South Edinburgh Channel, Thames Estuary. The plate is severely corroded.
