Wooden letter opener

Wooden letter opener, painted yellow on the blade and brown on the handle. On one side is a calendar for 1883 and on the other side is a timetable for The Castle Mail Packets Company's mail packets to and from Cape Town, Mossel Bay, Port Elizabeth (Algoa Bay), Port Alfred, East London and Natal via Madeira. 'Donald Currie & Co' is printed on the handle, the names of managers to apply to for information about freight and passage appear on both sides of the item.
