Timber piece with photograph
Timber with photograph showing excavation works near HMS 'Victory' in Portsmouth Dockyard. It has a typed label attached which reads: 'Sample piece of elm cut from defective cross-beam North Camber HM Naval Base. Removed from site early October. Centre cut and planed in Joiner's Shop 19 October 1972. Original construction made about 1784.'
