Depicts a thirteenth-century sailing vessel showing fore and after stages beginning to be built into the hull as permanent structures. Inscription: 'SIGILLUM : COMMVNE : DE : LAPOLE'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
