Seal of the bailiffs of Ipswich, 1332. A pointed oval shape depicting a single-masted ship on waves the mainsail furled, it has a flag and streamers. In the field on the left, two keys, on the right, a key and sword, emblems of St Peter & Paul, patrons of the town. Inscription: '...GILLUM . BAL...GIPE...' The cast is mounted on a cardboard backboard with a label.
