Fuenterrabia, seal of the town, circa 1250. The earliest representation of a whaleboat on a seal (circa 1250). A buoy is attached to one of the harpoon lines. Inscription: 'SIGILL... FONTE(R)ARRABIA'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
