Portsmouth, second seal of the town, late 13th century. It depicts a late thirteenth-century sailing vessel. Two seamen are handling the cable of an anchor which is catted. Inscription: 'SIGILLVM . COMMVNE . DE . PORTEMVTHA'. The cast is mounted on a cardboard backboard with a label.
