2nd common seal of the town of Dartmouth, early 14th century. A ship on waves containing a full face bust of the king crowned ,between two lions passant guardant of England. In field overhead on the left a crescent, on the right a star. Inscription: 'SIGILLVM : COMMVNE : DE CLIFTONE : DERTEMVTHE'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
