1st seal of the mayorality of Bristol, before1350. Left – a view of Bristol Castle with four embattled towers, to the right a ship with a flag bearing the Royal Arms of England. Between the flag and the ship, the letter B. Inscription: 'SIGILL' . MAIORITATIS : VILLE : BRISTOLLIE:' The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
