East Looe, seal of the town, 14th century. It depicts a fourteenth century sailing vessel, two men on board. The helmsman facing aft. The tiller in his hand is shown clearly. Three shields of arms on the side of the ship. Inscription: 'S' : COMMVNETATIS : DE : LOO'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
