Crail, 1st common seal of the Royal Burgh, 1357
Two casts obverse and reverse of the 1st common seal of the Royal Burgh of Crail 1357. The ship is supposed to be an allusion to the herring fishery which was the chief industry of Crail for centuries. The casts are mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
