Tenterden, common seal of the town and hundred, 1449. It depicts a mid fifteenth century sailing vessel. with a banner with the cross of St George in the stern. A shield of arms of the Barons of the Cinque Ports is shown on the sail and a 'Jacob's ladder' leads to the fighting top. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
