Amsterdam, a seal of the city for certain purposes, 1472. It depicts a sailing vessel with two shields of arms, one bearing four rampant lions, and the other the arms of Amsterdam. Inscription: 'SIGILLUM : OPIDI : AEMIRETRE-DAMMENSIS : AD : CAUSAS'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
