Maldon, 2nd common seal, 1682. A fanciful imitation of a thirteenth century ship, with the erroneous addition of shrouds leading from near the ends of the hull. The further side of hull is shown and the banner with the arms of Maldon (three lions passant regardant) in the stern. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
