Southampton, 3rd seal of the town, 17th century. It depicts a two decked man-of-war of galleon build, of the Elizabethan period rather than the seventeenth century. The arms of Southampton are shown on the main-sail. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
