Richard Plantagenet, seal of office, 1471-5. It depict a fifteenth century sailing vessel with a cresset in the fore-stage in place of an admiral's lantern at the stern. The Royal Standard is displayed on the sail and a banner in the stern. Inscription: 'S' : RIC'I : DUC' : GLOUC' : ADMIRALLI : ANGL' ET : COM' : DORS' : ET : SOM'. The cast is mounted on a cardboard backboard with a label.
