The second seal of Peterborough Abbey, 13th century. It depicts a double ended ship containing a building, representing the 'ship of the church'. Inscription: 'SIGNVM : BVRGENSE : CRVCE : CLAVE : FVLGET : ET : ENSE'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
