Portsmouth, 2nd seal of the town, late 13th century. It depicts a late thirteenth century sailing vessel. Two seamen are handling the cable of an anchor which is catted. Inscription: 'SIGILLVM . COMMVNE . DE . PORTEMVTHA'. On a felt covered hardboard backboard with a label. SEC0489-498 mounted together.
