Tenterden, common seal of the town and hundred, 1449. Obverse: A mid-fifteenth century sailing vessel with a banner with the cross of St George in the stern. A 'Jacob's ladder' leads to the fighting top. A shield of arms of the Barons of the Cinque Ports as shown on the sail. Inscription 'SIGILLUM :: COMUNE :: VILLE :: ET :: HUNDREDE :: DE :: TENTERDEN'. On a cardboard backboard with a label.
